I have been matting and framing photos for two upcoming events. The Studio Place Arts members show contains the work of more than 80 Vermont artists. These two are matted and framed with simple black wooden frames (11×14).
I will also have matted prints and cards on sale at The Briggs Carriage House in Brandon Vermont during the month of December. All cards are $3.50 and the price of a print is dependent on size.
I am still in love with scannography and silhouette art and am currently taking an advanced independent study in scannography at Johnson State College.
Scannography–uses a hi-res scanner to produce art. The result has the effect of using a full frame camera and film.
I am working on two projects for my independent study: “From Immigration to Integration” which uses my family genealogy. The second project continues scanning the beauty in nature.
Silhouette Art:. Cut-outs, transparencies and small objects are placed on an overhead projector, projected onto a wall, paper or material and then photographed. The results can be haunting and beautiful.
